Café Racer and Thunderbird 500 on Indian roads within the first quarter 2012

After making royal entrance in Auto Expo held last month in New Delhi, Indian legendary motorcycle manufacturing company Royal Enfield is going to launch its highly appraised motorcycles, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 and Royal Enfield Café Racer. Both these bikes had succeeded in grabbing the attention of visitors coming into pavilion settled by Royal Enfield. Among both these bikes Royal Enfield Café Racer stole the show. According to the reports, Royal Enfield is speculating to launch Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 sometime during the months of May or June; however, the customers who were fascinated by Royal Enfield Café Racer will have to wait till the first quarter of 2013, when it is speculated to be launched by Royal Enfield. It is also reported that to meet the internal demands, Royal Enfield is extending its dealership network and also augmenting its production capacity to expand its market to other countries.

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500

Detailing about company's future strategy, Mr. Venki Padmanabhan, CEO, Royal Enfield Motors said that the company is going to launch Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 on Indian roads during the months of May or June.  Mr. Padmanabhan further added that Royal Enfield Café Racer will be launched in the first quarter of 2013. According to him introduction of Royal Enfield Café Racer will be a new riding experience for Indian bike riders and company is overwhelmed with the response it has received from customers during Auto Expo 2012.

Detailing about dealership network, Mr. Padmanabhan informed that company has opened new dealers in the vulnerable areas where the motorcycle owners have to commute long distances for getting their bike serviced from company’s work station. According to him, the new dealers are concentrating on increasing sales and also developing infrastructural facilities. He also informed that company has established two new technician training centres at Chennai and Chandigarh to get acquainted with new technical updates introduced in the engine. With these developments it can be said that in coming months Royal Enfield shall be able to grab more customers towards itself. Besides this, company has recently launched its few variants in markets of Philippines and Malaysia too.
