After launching its most advanced and lightest motorcycle at home, the British manufacturer Royal Enfield is all set to launch the much awaited Continental GT 535 aka Cafe Racer in India tomorrow. The company has brought back the cafe racer after 6 decades.
Taking the design inspiration from the previous model, this time the bike has been made more advanced. It sports a new 535cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single cylinder engine with fuel injection. Mated with a 5 speed, claw shifted gear-box, the engine churns out a maximum power of 29.1bhp and a peak torque of 44Nm.
The bike features conventional telescopic forks at the front, while Paioli gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. It comes with Pirelli Sport Demon tyres for better grip at high speeds. It has a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear for quick control.
The bike comes with a racing type fuel tank and seat along with the clip-on handle bars, which gives perfect track riding posture. Painted in Rosso Corsa Red, the Royal Enfield Continental GT has been bolted on a light weight, double craddle frame, which makes it 15kg lighter than the RE Thunderbird 500.
