The custom bike gets a floating tail and a futuristic design
Indonesia's PapnMam custom house, under Yamaha's yard-built program, has modified the Yamaha XSR155 into a futuristic-looking flat track motorcycle.
Talking about the modifications on the bike, the circular LED headlight has been replaced by a flip-up headlight unit while the single-port upswept exhaust has been replaced by a dual-port unit placed under the seat. The tail section has been exposed, lending it a cantilevered (floating) look, and the contoured seat has been replaced by a flat seat. Moreover, the bike gets bar-end mirrors, an aluminium finish throughout the bike and winglets at both sides of the fuel tank.
The equipment which has been retained includes the single-piece handlebar, disc brakes at both ends, an LCD instrument cluster and the suspension setup. The engine of the bike also seems to be the same: a 155cc liquid-cooled motor with VVA that puts out 19.3PS and 14.7Nm.
Yamaha is also likely to showcase this concept bike in India this year. The XSR155 retails in Indonesia at IDR 36,905,000 (Rs 1.92 lakh). In India, you can have a look at the Yamaha FZ-X, the price of which starts at Rs 1,26,300 (ex-showroom Delhi).
