A modified Royal Enfield Meteor 350 dubbed the ‘Shotgun 350’ was unveiled by American custom bike maker Baxter Cycle, which specializes in modifying Royal Enfield and Triumph motorcycles. It is important to note that this ‘Shotgun 350’ is a custom bike and is not officially linked to the upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 which had been spied testing in the past.

For this ‘Shotgun 350’ build, they took a stock Meteor 350 and made a couple of changes in the design to give it the bobber look. The idea was to create a bobber on the Meteor 350 platform, the same way Royal Enfield made the Shotgun 650 on the Super Meteor 650’s platform.

There have been several modifications made to transform the bike from a cruiser to a bobber, the first of which was the addition of a tinted flyscreen from Royal Enfield. The second was changing the handlebars and adding in wider tracker ones to give the rider a neutral riding posture. The mirrors have also been changed and the bike now features blacked-out bar end mirrors.

Additionally, the front now comes with Diablo fork gaiters. The pillion seat has been swapped out for a luggage mount, similar to what we have seen on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. Finally, the exhaust on this bike is a peashooter unit borrowed from the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Along with these design modifications, the bike has seen some changes in terms of underpinnings to suit the bobber character. The most visible difference is the new tyres.

Baxter Cycle swapped out the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels for 17-inch front and rear wheels from the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The rear suspension is also a different unit: the stock rear shocks were swapped out for YSS black aluminum rear shocks.

Overall, with these modifications the Meteor 350 has been transformed into a completely different bike and really does look like the smaller sibling of the Shotgun 650.

Other than these modifications, there hasn’t been any changes made to the bike’s performance. It is still powered by the same 349cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, engine which makes 20.4PS and 27Nm.
