The Longjia XDV 150 borrows the aggressive styling from its older 250cc sibling, but with a potent 150cc liquid-cooled engine
It hasn’t been a long while since Longjia, a Chinese auto-manufacturer, launched the XDV 250Si offroad maxi-scooter that takes on the Honda ADV 350. Following that, the Chinese bikemaker has unveiled the 150cc version of the scooter, called XDV 150, which will be an alternative to the Honda ADV 150.
The XDV 150 shares the same platform as its older sibling and gets the same muscular styling with an aggressive body design. The raised floor board and large fascia with the tall (adjustable) windshield complete the maxi-scooter look. It also gets a twin LED headlight setup, which looks pretty sharp and bold.
Powering the XDV 150 will be a 150cc liquid-cooled engine which produces a respectable 14.2PS and 13.5Nm which, however, is 1.5PS and 0.7Nm less than the power packed Yamaha Aerox 155. On that note, the scooter is on the heavier side of the scales with a kerb weight of 156kg against Aerox’s 126kg.

Unlike its older sibling, the XDV 150 is suspended on a telescopic fork up front instead of the inverted KYB forks. The scooter is anchored by dual discs on both ends and for more safety comes equipped with switchable ABS.
In terms of features, the scooter comes equipped with a keyless start, a five-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster that should get smartphone connectivity and navigation, and a USB charging socket similar to its older sibling.
The scooter is reported to enter the Chinese market by July 2022, however, it will not be heading to our shores anytime soon. If you are looking for a performance-based maxi style scooter, you can check out the Aprilia SXR 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155. If you are looking for something bigger and more expensive, then the BMW C 400 GT is something you can opt for. This is not the only Honda ADV 150 rival, but the Dayang VRC 150T, too, falls in the same league. Apart from that, you can also check out the recently unveiled Keeway Vieste 300.
