Mahindra Mojo is the most anticipated bike that kept everyone related to the automotive fraternity on toes for almost five years. Putting an end to the long eternal wait, the company finally launched it a few days back at an introductory price of Rs. 1.58 lac (ex-showroom price), which is valid till Diwali. Mahindra seemed a lot more excited than its admirers that looked evident from its actions regarding the release of the bike. The manufacturer announced to take the first few buyers on a trip besides giving them a rider’s kit with the bike to bring big smiles on their faces. Furthermore, it even gave test rides of the vehicle before the launch, which is not a common affair.
Mahindra Mojo presently comes with 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes that somewhere lack proper bite and precision as experienced by most of the auto journos. To compensate this, Mahindra decides to bring the ABS version of the bike in market soon. At such an event, while talking to a Mahindra official, we got to know that the company has already started working on the ABS version of Mojo and it will reach the dealerships soon.
Mahindra has been developing the Mojo since past five years and while asking of the launch, each time it stated that the bike is being delayed as their company is working on minimising the cost. However, when the bike finally arrived at a price of Rs. 1.58 lac, that too introductory, it put most of the Mahindra Mojo fans to disappointment. This is the reason why Mahindra has not added ABS as a standard equipment in the bike as it would have taken the price to a disturbing figure.
