Here are a few tastefully modified Royal Enfield bikes which we saw at the IBW 2024
India Bike Week amazes us every single time with modified bikes, and the festival impressed us this time as well. We already showed you a few modified Ramayana-themed Harley Davidson bikes and this article features the modified Royal Enfield bikes that we saw at the India Bike Week 2024.
It seems the bobber trend is picking up really quickly as most of the modified Royal Enfield bikes at the IBW were bobbers, modified in different ways and few of them even depict India's history and culture.
Peshwa - A Bobber by Maratha Motorcycles
Built by Maratha Motorcycles, Peshwa the Bobber is based on Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform. It features a Maratha armour design on the fuel tank, side panels and rear fender, which makes the bike look really cool and rugged. It also features the name ‘Peshwa’ on the fuel tank.
It has a girder fork at the front. It has a bobber style scooped brown single-seat which goes well with the bike’s overall looks. Moreover, the fuel tank has double inlets. The tyres are also different and look chunky. The bike has custom exhaust pipes on both sides which go well with the overall theme of the bike.
Ashvamedha - By SnS Custom Wheels
Ashvamedha is a chopper from Mumbai-based SnS Custom Wheels. Based on the Royal Enfield 350cc platform, it features a typical chopper design with a tall ape-hanger handlebar. It has a red fuel tank with creme-colour graphics and ‘Ashwamedha’ written on it in Gujarati. It also has a similar paint job on the side panels with the SnS Custom Wheels logo.
The bike also has an external air filter like bigger Harley Davidson bikes. It gets a scooped single black seat complementing the bike’s design. The exhaust is upswept and has a chrome-finished heat shield. The gear lever and the rear brake lever have been moved forward to give the rider a proper chopper-like riding posture. The fenders are also custom and the bike has block pattern tyres. It also has a typical chopper-style grab rail.
Custom 350cc Royal Enfield Hardtail Bobber
We saw this simple yet amazing Custom 350cc Royal Enfield hardtail bobber, which features a minimalist design language. The mechanic has stripped down all the parts of the bike and assembled the chassis, a custom fuel tank and an old Royal Enfield 350cc engine. The bike features a slim-looking custom exhaust pipe, custom flat handlebar, fork, headlight, rear fender and single-piece seat. Being a hardtail motorcycle, it does not have a rear suspension and the bumps will only be absorbed by the springs fitted below the seat. The tyres are also different and look wide and chunky to enhance the bike’s overall look.
1,000cc Royal Enfield Cafe Racer
Next up, we have a 1,000cc Royal Enfield cafe racer from the house of Carberry Customs. It features a double-barrel 998cc, V-twin carburetor engine modified by Carberry Customs by joining two different 500cc Royal Enfield Classic engines. It makes a maximum output of 52PS and 82Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The bike has a proper cafe racer stance and features chrome treatment all around. It gets golden highlights all around and also has a golden wheel cover. It features a floating single seat and has a custom handlebar with a mechanical accelerator and a custom headlight cowl. The headlight features a bronze ‘01’ decal. The bike is fitted with block-pattern, white-walled tyres to give it a more vintage look.
