The new Dayang VRC 150T is more powerful than the Yamaha Aerox 155 as well
Chinese bikemaker Dayang launched the ADV 350 back in September 2021 and it has followed it up by unveiling another ADV-styled scooter, the VRC 150T. Here’s a lowdown into what this rugged looking scooter gets.
The VRC 150T gets a windshield up front flanked by upswept LED headlights. Under them is a small ADV-style beak. Overall, the scooter carries a properly beefy design..
As per the homologation documents surfaced online, at the heart of the VRC 150T is a 149cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, pumping out 16.45PS, propelling it to a claimed top speed of 115kmph. To give you a bit of context, India’s most powerful budget scooter, the Yamaha Aerox 155 churns out 15PS.
The scooter comes suspended on telescopic forks up front coupled with dual shock absorbers at the rear. A 148kg kerb weight does put it on the heavier side, but that along with a wheelbase of 1359mm should translate to a scooter that’s stable at higher speeds, at least theoretically.
Unlike its bigger sibling that rolls on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheels, the VRC 150T comes shod with smalled 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with 110/80 at the front and 130/70 tyres at the rear. It gets a disc at both ends along with ABS.
All of that said, it is unlikely that the scooter will ever see the Indian shores. If you’re looking for a sporty maxi-style scooter in the Indian market, you can have a look at the Aprilia SXR 160.
