2024 has been an exciting year for commuter motorcycles, we saw some significant launches happening. Here is a list of top 5 110cc-125cc commuter motorcycles which we think launched in 2024.
Hero Splendor+ Xtec Disc
Price: Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Hero Splendor+ Xtec Disc is the disc brake version of the Hero Splendor. The bike now gets a 240mm disc brake and the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. The disc brake will allow the motorcycle to provide better braking.
Bajaj Freedom 125
Price: From Rs 89,997 to Rs 1,09,997 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Bajaj Freedom 125 is without a doubt, one of the most important launched in 2024. It is the world’s first motorcycle which is capable of running on CNG. It gets a 2kg CNG tank and a 2-litre fuel tank which gives it a combined real world range of somewhere near 280km. The motorcycle is powered by a 124.58cc, air-cooled, sloper engine that produces 9.5PS at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is built on a trellis frame, with the CNG tank housed within the rear sub-frame.
Bajaj Pulsar N125
Price: From Rs 94,707 to Rs 98,707 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 IS Bajaj’s sporty take on the commuter segment. The motorcycle looks quite stylish and offers massive ground clearance. It gets a brand new 124.58cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine which outputs 12PS and 11Nm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike has enough performance of both highways and city riding as well, making it a good choice for individuals who want a sporty looking 125cc motorcycle with vibrant and funky colour options.
TVS Raider iGO
Price: Rs 98,532 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The TVS Raider iGO gets a brand-new Nardo Grey colour scheme with red alloy wheels which looks quite sporty and an exclusive “Boost Mode” on the iGO variant. Which when activated, the Boost mode is said to deliver an additional 0.55Nm of torque, it goes up from 11.2Nm to 11.75Nm, to aid in quick overtakes. TVS also claims that with the iGO technology, the Raider’s fuel efficiency has improved by 10 percent. The Raider already gets a peppy engine but the addition of the Boost mode will make it even more fun to ride and offers the best performance in the 125cc segment.
Hero Xtreme 125R
Price: From Rs 95,000 to Rs 99,500 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Hero Xtreme 125R is the first motorcycle in the commuter segment to give single-channel ABS at the front. The motorcycle has a great design which looks quite sporty and in terms of performance, it has a 0-60kmph pickup time of 6.28 seconds, which is really good for a 125cc bike. The motorcycle is very efficient as well and in our real-world mileage test returned 81.53kmpl in the city and 61.68kmpl on the highway.
