As promised, the first lot of Jawa bikes will be delivered in March
- Customers who will be receiving their bikes in March have already been informed via calls.
- The Jawa and Forty Two are priced at Rs 1.64 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
- The brand has inaugurated 27 new showrooms in March.
Jawa has announced that it will commence deliveries of the Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two this week. Customers who will be receiving their bikes this month have already been informed via calls by the company dealerships. On the other hand, customers who are awaiting their orders in the month of April will be informed about their delivery dates on 31st March. The announcement was made via Jawa’s official Twitter handle.
Unfortunately, the overwhelming response for the two bikes means the brand had to postpone the launch of the Jawa Perak to the end of 2019. On the bright side though, the month of March seemed to be pretty eventful, with the manufacturer opening up 27 new showrooms. This brings it closer to its Phase 1 plan which involves launching 105 dealerships within this year itself. Jawa has also promised to ramp up production to meet customer demands.
The company’s ultimate aim is to eat into the market share of one of the biggest two-wheeler manufacturers in India, Royal Enfield. Much like its rival, Jawa has adopted a retro design approach for both its bikes. While the Jawa-Jawa draws its inspiration from the classic Jawa 350 and features a ton of chrome, the Forty-Two takes a slightly sporty approach with blacked out components, a flatter and wider handlebar and off-set instrument console.
Both the bikes are available in single-channel and dual-channel ABS variants. In terms of competition, the Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two will compete against the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj Dominar 400 and UM Renegade Classic.
