DSK Benelli to Bring 4 New Models in India in 2016

DSk Benelli superbikes are already doing great in India with their aggressive pricing and the recently launched TNT 25 further strengthened their marketplace in the country. Currently, the company is offering its TNT range comprising of naked sport motorcycles varying from 250cc to 1130cc and a middleweight adventure tourer. Now, the Italian maker is going to expand its Indian fleet in some other segments with 4 new products that are expected to be launched in 2016, some of them could be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo as well. So, let's have a look on these upcoming Italian superbikes in India.

Benelli Tornado 302: Looking very promising for the Indian market, Benelli Tornado 302 is a fully faired motorcycle with a 300cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 34.9bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 27Nm. However, these figures might be different for the Indian spec model like the company has done with the recently launched TNT 25.

The bike has been designed as a sport tourer like the existing Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha YZF-R3. It is an already successful formula in the quarter-litre segment and the Tornado 302 can be the first motorcycle of the company to be launched in India in the first quarter of 2016.

Benelli TNT 400: To compete with the more powerful rivals of Benelli TNT 300, the Italian manufacturer is planning to increase the engine displacement of the bike. The higher capacity engine will produce more power as well as torque and the bike could be renamed as TNT 400 after that. It can be expected to come in existence in the second half of 2016.

Benelli TRK 502: Adding some more adventure to its fleet, the Italian maker is expected to bring another adventure tourer here by the second half of 2016. The upcoming motorcycle has been christened TRK 502 and it is totally different from any previous adventure motorcycle from Benelli. However, the styling of the motorcycle is much practical and seems inspired by some other big adventure machines.

The bike sports a new 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that has been tuned to make 46.9bhp and torque up to 45Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a hydraulic clutch providing effortless shifting. Benelli TRK 502 gets some really impressive features for an adventure tourer like fat USD forks at the front, aerodynamic fairing to reduce wind blast, spoke wheels with dual purpose tyres, a 20-litre fuel tank and a lot more.

Benelli Leoncino: The beautiful Benelli Leoncino was unveiled at the Milan Motor Show and now it is expected to be seen at the upcoming Auto Expo in February. It is a scrambler type motorcycle with on and off road riding capabilities and gets some highly premium features like the Scrambler Ducati models.

Propelling the Leoncino is the same 499.6cc motor that also powers the new TRK 502. The key features of the bike are integrated LED DRLs, LED tail lamp, USD front forks, rear monoshock, dual purpose tyres with spoke wheels, 320mm front/260mm rear disc brakes and many more. The bike may get ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as well and it is expected to enter the market by the end of the year 2016.
