DSK Hyosung is a brand that is known for providing budget superbikes in India since 2012. It is a joint venture of Indian group’s DSK MotoWheels and Hyosung that is a part of KR Motors, Korea. The company is selling motorcycles with displacements in the range from 250cc to 700cc in the country, including cruisers and sportbikes. At Auto Expo 2014, DSK Hyosung launched its most affordable- Aquila 250 and showcased the GD250N, RT125D and GT250N (Comet). Now, the company is planning to make a bigger presence at the Auto Expo 2016 that is starting from Feb 3 and here is the list of new products we can expect at the upcoming motor show.
1. Hyosung GT300R:
Hyosung will be bringing the successor of its GT250R that is GT300R at Auto Expo 2016. The bike was unveiled at the 73rd Milan Motor Show and it is a complete new motorcycle cosmetically as well as mechanically. The new model looks much sportier with split pattern headlamp and the new aerodynamic styling. Powering the bike is a new 275cc, fuel injected, 75-degree V-twin engine that generates 27.6bhp of maximum power at 10,500 rpm along with 23.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
2. 2016 Hyosung GT650R:
The company has also updated the GT650R that looks much identical to the new GT300R and this bike is expected to make entry at the motor show. Apart from the visual changes, there are a few mechanical changes in the bike like the new petal disc brakes instead of the regular ones.
3. Hyosung GD450 Prototype:
The company may also showcase the prototype of GD450 streetfighter that is powered by an all new 449cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine. The advanced motor is capable of making 49.32bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 47.7Nm at 7,000rpm. The bike is looking a direct rival for the KTM 390 Duke and we can also expect its entry in the Indian market.
4. Hyosung Aquila 300:
The company could also bring the new Aquila 300 which is expected to become the successor of existing Aquila 250 soon. Like the upcoming GT300R, the Aquila 300 is also a completely new motorcycle with both cosmetic and mechanical upgrades, and it also receives the same new 275cc V-twin with a different tuning.
5. Hyosung GD250N:
Hyosung may bring the GD250N again at Auto Expo this year, which has already made its Indian debut at the 2014 edition of the show. It is a naked sport style motorcycle with a compact design and a powerful 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes it a perfect competitor of KTM 200 Duke.
6. Hyosung GD250R:
Hyosung GD250R is expected to make its premiere in India at the 2016 edition of the Auto Expo. It is a faired version of the GD250N and shares all the mechanics and styling with its sibling, apart from the front fairing, headlights, handlebars and steering geometry. If launched in India, it will be priced below Rs. 2 lac and will directly rival the KTM RC 200.
