EBR 1190RX Revealed, Priced at $18,995

The racing sport bike manufacturer and new technology partners of the Hero MotoCorp, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) has revealed its new racing machine 1190RX, which is a cheaper version of its 1190RS super sport bike. The bike looks almost similar to its sibling, except some minor changes in style.

EBR 1190RX uses the same ET-V2 (72° V-Twin, Liquid Cooled, Four-stroke ), 1190cc engine, which also powers the 1190RS. However, the engine has been tuned to deliver a higher power output of 185bhp at 10,600rpm and the value of peak torque output is 137.8Nm at 8,200rpm. Fuel injection system of the bike uses 2 port injectors along with 2 showerhead injectors . To balance the power and speed of the bike, it uses a 6-speed gear box having ratio of 2.46 in the 1st to 0.96 in the 6th gear.

The EBR 1190RX has been made on an aluminum frame with integral fuel reservoir and has overall dimensions of 2040mm X 737mm X 1110mm (Length x Width x Height) with a ground clearance of 120mm. It uses a Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 120/70 ZR-17 tyre on the 17” x 3.5” Aluminum front wheel and a Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 190/55 ZR-17 tyre on the 17” x 6.0” Aluminum rear wheel. The 190kg weighed bike has a load carrying capacity of 170kg and fuel capacity of 17.1L.

It uses Showa, inverted big piston forks at the front with Showa, single shock without linkage at the rear for an amazing track experience. To stop the bike, front wheels come equipped with 386mm single perimeter rotor disk brakes with 8 piston inside-out caliper, while a 220mm disk works on the rear wheel with 2-piston Hayes Performance Brakes Caliper.

The bike will come in three different colours- Racing Red , Galactic Black and Strike Yellow with some body parts painted in Charcoal colour and Gunsmoke painted engine. The bike will be launched with a price tag of $18,995 in the USA.
