Electric Superbike Terra Kiwami Showcased at the IAE 2014

Terra Motors' Electric Superbike Kiwami has been showcased in the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, today. The bike was launched on Jan 28th, with a price tag Rs.18 lakh, and it was it's debut in the Indian superbike market. The company claims that top tier engineers have invested many years to design and develop this machine, which is quite obvious having had a look at the pictures of the bike. It has a strong suspension, which has especially been developed keeping the adverse road conditions in India.    

It's mesmerizing to know that the bike's performance level is the same as that of a 1000cc bike, for instance, The R1 by Yamaha. The overall dimensions of the superbike are 2050mm X 750mm X 1080mm(lwh), whereas the top speed of the bike is 160km per hour.  

What powers the bike is a Smart battery, which has an improved life, and performs 3000 times better as compared to the regular batteries. It takes around 6 hours to charge, and once fully charged, the battery gives power to the bike till you ride it till 200km. The motor of the bike churns out a maximum power of 10kW.
