As electric mobility gathers pace in the Indian auto industry, many new entrants are trying to exploit the boom, including a Haryana-based startup called Evolet. It has forayed into the EV segment by launching multiple electric scooters under the low-speed series: Polo and Derby range. The Polo is available in two variants: Polo Pony EZ and Polo Pony Classic. Similarly, the Derby range is also offered in two variants: Derby EZ and Derby Classic. Here are the prices and battery specifications of all the models:

Polo Pony Classic 48 V/24 Ah Lithium Ion Battery Rs 49,499

All the scooters come with a 250 Watt BLDC motor and offer a range of 60kmph per charge. These scooters will be rolled out from next week onwards and won’t require a licence to ride as the top speed is capped at 25kmph. Sadly, none of these scooters qualify for FAME II subsidies.

Evolet also launched an electric quad bike (an all-terrain vehicle) called the Warrior which is touted to be the first of its kind in India. It is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh and gets a top speed of 60kmph and a 50km range per charge. It also gets a reverse function and the top speed in reverse is restricted to 20kmph.

Apart from these two-wheelers, the brand  unveiled the Raptor - an electric maxi-scooter; Falcon - an electric bike based on the Super Soco TS; and Hawk - a fully-faired electric bike. While the specifications of these two-wheelers haven't been revealed yet, we've come to know that Evolet will be launching all these products in about three-four months' time. As far as dealership reach is concerned, the brand is working on setting them up and intends to have about 150 dealerships within this financial year. Stay tuned to BikeDekho.com for more updates!
