Bajaj Auto is all set to launch its new 150cc motorcycle- Discover 150S on the 11th August, 2014. The bike has already reached to various dealerships and deliveries have been started ahead of the official launch, held on 11th August, 2014. Drum brake version of the bike has been priced at Rs. 58,671, while the Disc brake version will cost Rs. 61,941 (both on-road, Pune). With this aggressive pricing, it will become the most affordable 150cc offering in India.

The new Bajaj Discover 150S is based on the latest platform of the Discover series and shares the features of 125ST model. It gets the same sporty styling with masculine fuel tank, sharp headlight with twin pilot lamps and bikini fairing, sleek rear panels, flamboyant muffler and LED tail lamp. The bike sports telescopic front forks with rear Nitrox Mono-Shock suspension and a wider 100/90 MRF Zapper rear tyre.

Propelling the new Discover 150 S is an all new 144.8cc, 4-valve, DTS-i engine, which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox for transmission control. Powered by a carburetor type fuel system, the engine delivers at least 14.3bhp of raw power at 8,500rpm along with a peak torque of 12.75Nm at 6,500rpm. Instrumentation of the bike is fully analog type and the self start feature has been kept standard. With the lowest price tag in the segment, it will compete with the entry level 150cc offerings like Yamaha SZ series, Hero Achiever and Honda CB Unicorn.
