It is no secret that all big two-wheeler manufacturers are working on launching electric scooters and bikes. However, some names like Yamaha have still not officially entered the EV space in India. So, the question is when?

So, initially, what Yamaha intends to do is rework the motor and battery specifications of its quirky e-scooter, Neo’s, to fit into the Indian ecosystem. Later on, Yamaha will also look into producing the EV from the ground up here. Check out Neo’s specification details here.
Apart from that, the Japanese marque flaunts a swappable, as well as fixed, battery technology for its EVs. So, the approach that Yamaha has to take in terms of EV infrastructure in India will be based on the result of the tests being conducted at present.
