Garware Motors the Indian alliance of South Korean two wheeler manufacturing company S&T Motors is speculating to manufacture the Hyosung Bikes in India in the coming two years from now. However the worrisome fact at present for Hyosung Bikes is to cope with the pricing policy of Bajaj Motors decided for Kawasaki Ninja 650R which falls in the same segment of Hyosung GT 650 from Hyosung Bikes.
Extending his views about the joint alliance with S&T Motors of South Korea, Mr. Hyder Ali Khan the Chief Executive Officer of Garware Motors, said that currently the production of Hyosung Bike is done at its manufacturing plant located at Wai in Maharastra, where the spare parts of the bikes are assembled. The present plant has the capacity of manufacturing 8 to 10 bikes daily. Mr. Khan further said that at present company speculates to manufacture 40% of parts at its plant that are installed in the bikes manufactured in India. He added that company is in talks with two three suppliers for the supply of raw materials requisited for production of Hyosung Bikes.
It would be interesting to see what measures company adopt to increase its production capacity. This time the most important factor to concentrate on is to cope with the pricing policy Hyosung GT 650 to meet the challenge from Kawasaki Ninja 650R which also carries the same features as offered by Hyosung GT 650. The major features integrated in Hyosung GT 650 include 647cc, DOHC, 8 valve, water cooled engine generating the maximum power of 82 bhp at 9000 rpm and torque of 60.9 Nm at 7250 rpm followed by electric start. It has suspension of 410 mm upside down telescopic. Hyosung GT 650 is expected to give an average of 25 kmpl with fuel capacity of 17 litre petrol tank.
