Gemopai Astrid Lite Electric Scooter Launched In India

Deliveries of the electric scooter will begin by October first week
- The Astrid Lite gets a removable 1.7Kw Li-ion battery.
- It gets keyless ignition, USB charging port and a side-stand indicator.
- Gemopai has over 50 dealerships in India and Nepal.
Gemopai has launched a new electric scooter called the Astrid Lite. The Astrid Lite is a product of a joint venture between Goreen E-Mobility and Opai Electric. It costs Rs 80,000 and goes up against the newly launched Okinawa PraisePro, which is priced at Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The electric scooter comes equipped with a 1.7kWh removable Li-ion battery, which the company claims is good for 75-90km. Powering the electric scooter is a 2400W motor with a rated power output of 4000W. The manufacturer also claims that the Astrid Lite has a top speed of 65kmph. It comes with three drive modes - Sports, City and Economy. In terms of features, there’s the usual equipment that you’d see on any electric scooter. It comes with an LED headlamp with DRLs, keyless ignition, a USB charging port and a side-stand indicator.

Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a disc brake up front and a drum unit at the rear and as an added safety feature, the e-scooter comes with EABS (Electronic Assist Brake System) too.
The company says that it has more than 50 dealerships in India and Nepal. Deliveries are set to commence from the first week of October, which means there’s enough time to decide which funky colour to pick - Eclectic Neon, Deep Indigo, Fiery Red, Burnt Charcoal or the Fireball Orange.
