Harley Davidson could opens its R&D in India

New entrant in India, Harley Davidson is planning to open their Research and Developing center soon in India. The company has already launched 12 models as Completely Build Units (CBU) in Chandigarh, Delhi and Hyderabad. The company is now looking forward to establish its assembly plant in India, based on the business growth. The company has currently two operation dealers in the country, where its all 12 models are available.
According to OD Copes, senior vice-president of international sales, marketing and business development, HDMC, and in charge of Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe and Africa, Harley Davidson is looking for product development on an international basis and also learning what the product that customer's in different countries want. Harley Davidson is aggressively planning to spread its wings across the country with wide range of dealership networks in Jaipur, Nagpur, Kolkata, Pune, Indore, Gujarat and Chennai.
Besides, HD intending to provide rental services for its bikes by the dealerships and may launch its rental services by the next year. The company has already singed an agreement with ICICI bank for providing finance to the Indian cruiser motorcycle buyers. Harley Davidson all new bike models are available Rs between 7 lakh to 35 lakh.
