No, they are not selling bikes in the airport. This is Harley Davidson India's first ever store inside an Indian airport
American cruiser manufacturer, Harley Davidson has opened it's first merchandise-only store inside Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport. The store will sell Harley branded apparel, riding gear and collectibles. Terminal 2 caters to both International and domestic flights and as a result has access to a wider customer base.
With the Indian buyer warming up towards bigger bikes, this can be termed as a move made by Harley-Davidson towards making travellers aware of their riding legacy. The showroom is spread over 500 square feet and will sell riding gear and accessories including riding jackets, boots, T-shirts, helmets, gloves, caps and sunglasses.
Speaking about the initiative, Vikram Pawah, MD Harley-Davidson India elaborated “We are now striding towards bringing the brand closer to the people who someday aspire to own a Harley, offering a taste of true Harley-Davidson lifestyle known world over. Charting out every customer touch point, we aim to connect with and make the brand more accessible to a growing audience, welcoming them to the Harley family.”
Harley-Davidson is currently present in 22 cities across the country. And since last year, Harley-Davidson India has opened showrooms in Ludhiana, Surat, Kochi, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Calicut, Nagpur and Guwahati.
