Except for the RayZR and the FZ25 range, all other models have witnessed a drop in sales
Yamaha's sales report for January 2022 is out. While the RayZR Hybrid and the FZ25 have witnessed some growth, the sales of all other models in the brand's portfolio have slumped, some by a substantial margin. Take a look at the numbers right here.
Talking about Yamaha's scooter lineup, while the sales of the Fascino 125 FI Hybrid dipped by 26.42 percent, the RayZR 125 FI Hybrid, on the other hand, registered growth of 15.09 percent as compared to December 2021. Also, the company recently discontinued the non-hybrid variants of both these scooters.
The month-on-month sales of Yamaha's FZ range has also declined by 13.23 percent. Even though the FZ-X is a relatively new offering, it has failed to take off. We took the bike out for a spin and here’s what we think of it.
Moving to the brand's 155cc range, the MT15 has registered a substantial decline of 91.30 percent. This could indicate the bikemaker will launch an updated version. Even though the R15 V4 and the R15 S are fairly new additions, the overall sales of the R15 range has also gone down by 27.64 percent. For reference, the R15 range includes the R15 V3, R15S V3, R15 V4 and the R15M.
Yamaha's quarter-litre offering the FZ25 range, that includes the standard model and the FZS25, has registered a healthy growth of 42.89 percent. The FZS 25 was updated with new colours last month, which would have contributed to the boost in sales.
In related news, the Moto GP Edition of the Yamaha Aerox 155 has been sold out, and the company doesn't seem to have any plans of offering it again. And if you’re planning to buy a Yamaha scooter this month, you’d be delighted to know the company is offering several schemes.
