It is now OBD-2 compliant and sports a bunch of cosmetic and feature updates
In wake of all the emission norms transition, 2023 iteration of the Bajaj Pulsar 125, has started reaching dealerships. The baby Pulsar is now greener than ever as it has received the BS-6 phase 2 update, and features a bunch of cosmetic as well as feature changes.
In terms of design, the updated baby Pulsar gets new colours and sporty graphics that extend on the fuel tank extensions. The bike featured in the video flaunted a metallic grey colour with updated yellow graphics, including the ones on the rear side panels. The ‘Pulsar’ logo on the fuel tank also gets a yellow highlight.
Additionally, the 6-spoke alloy wheels are new and they are quite eye-catching with its unique grass-cutter-like design.

Powering the baby Pulsar is the same 124.4cc, two-valve engine which is now OBD-2 compliant and comes equipped with an on board diagnostics system that identifies and indicates emission levels real time. What’s interesting is that the bike now gets a fuel injector, instead of the electronic carburetor as the outgoing model. Consequently, the ECU might also be updated. The outgoing model makes 11.8PS and 10.8Nm, and we expect the new one to produce similar power and torque figures.
While it sports the same semi-digital instrument console, it now indicates distance to empty, real time fuel efficiency, two trip metres, emission level indicators and warning light. This is in addition to the speedo, odo and side stand indicator, and other tell-tale lights.
Now coming down to the price, expect the updated model to come with a price hike of around Rs 5000 over the outgoing model Neon model which costs Rs 81,414 ex-showroom Delhi. Expect Bajaj to make a formal launch announcement in the weeks ahead. It rivals the likes of Honda SP 125, Honda Shine, TVS Raider 125 and Hero Super Splendor.
