Hero HX250R to be launched soon; showcased at the AIMExpo in USA

Showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp HX250R seems to be launched in India by early 2015. As we already reported, the company has registered European trademark for the bike, so it might be launch in the European market as well. Now, the bike has been showcased at the AIMExpo in USA on the EBR's (Erik Buell Racing) stand, which hints that it will be sold in the global market.
The upcoming Hero HX250R is a full faired 250cc machine with supersport characteristics. The bike has been designed in partnership with the superbike maker- EBR, like a proper track machine with its masculine body work including a perfectly carved fuel tank, sporty fairing with large wind shield and split-headlamp, split-seat, clip-ons, wide Pirelli tyres, bigger dual disc brakes, light spider-web alloys, under-seat exhaust and the most powerful 250cc single cylinder engine.
The liquid-cooled engine belts out a maximum power of 31bhp and a peak torque of 26Nm. Fuel injection has been used to improve the performance quality and response, while the 6-speed gearbox provides a smooth transmission. The HX250R features two riding modes- ECO for efficiency and POWER for the performance. ABS might be offered as an optional feature and the bike is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.5 to 1.7 lakh. Competition in the Indian market for the bike will be Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300, Hyosung GT250R and the latest KTM RC twins.
