Hero Motocorp announces new diesel engine and products

After unveiling a range of 15 revised products recently, the leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer- Hero MotoCorp has announced more new products to join the future product portfolio. During the press conference, the company announced a very unique 150cc TDI diesel engine and a new automatic scooter- Dash.
Hero also debuts a new full faired sport bike- HX250R, the one in the image above. It will use the new 249cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC engine with 4-valve configuration and under seat exhaust. Developed with the company's new technology partners, the engine churns out a maximum power of 31bhp @9,000rpm. Sporting all the features like a supersport motorcycle, the bike uses Pirelli Sport Demon tyres for perfect traction and capable to achieve 0-60kmph mark in mere 2.7 seconds.
The new 150cc diesel motor will power a new motorbike christened RnT, which will be capable to deliver 13.5bhp of maximum power and unmatchable 35Nm of peak torque. The engine will make this bike compatible for extra long runnings and surely return a great mileage.
Scooter Dash, as shown in the image below, will boast a new 111cc engine and will come equiped with the company's Integrated Braking System (IBS), which is a combined braking system technlogy. The electric hybrid scooter- Leap was also showcased by the company, which has a space age design with many futuristic technolgies and features.
The company has made a commercial for its new advanced commuter- Splendor iSmart and also launched the new Xtreme Sport. The new Hero Xtreme Sport has been tunes to deliver an enhanced power upto 15.2bhp. Apart from the Splendor iSmart, other reviced products will be available in the market within the next three months including Karizma R and ZMR, Xtreme and Pleasure. The products showcased today will be on sale within next 4 months, might be with a name different from that mentioned here today.
