Hero to introduce a Dirt Bike Sparkle in India

After launching India's first on/off road motorcycle Impulse, World's largest two wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL) is going to introduce India's first dirt bike, christened as Sparkle. The company has already introduced many advaced models this year, so we can expect another excellent product from it.

The bike is said to be an entry level machine powered by an 80cc, 2-stroke, air-cooled engine mated with a six-speed transmission, which is expected to churn out around 4.6bhp. It will be a professional dirt bike with a light weight chassis and fibre body work. Weighing under 90kg, it will be able to achieve a top speed over 100kmph.

Hero Sparkle will get square treaded, dirt/mud compatible tyres and durable spoke wheels with front petal disc and rear drum brakes. Long travel telescopic forks at the front with mud protectors and a high mounted fender will work quite well on every terrain. The rear gets dual hydraulic shocks with aluminium swing-arm. underseat exhaust will be hidden by fibre panels to enhance the safety.

The bike is expected to be launched by the end of this year and priced under Rs. 50,000. The bike has no competition in the country, however, it have its own limitations. The bike doesn't has headlight and number plate, which ensures that the bike will not be registerable via RTO and you can't ride it on road.
