Hero Xoom 125: Variants Explained: Auto Expo 2025

Hero MotoCorp has finally launched the 2025 Xoom 125 in India at Auto Expo 2025. Prices for the scooter start at Rs 86,900 (ex-showroom). It now fills the gap of a sporty and stylish 125cc scooter in the manufacturer’s line-up. 

The Xoom 125 is available in 2 variants: VX and ZX. The VX variant is available in two colours: Metallic Turbo Blue and Matte Storm Grey: and the ZX variant comes in Matte Neon Lime and Inferno Red.

Hero Xoom 125 ZX

The Hero Xoom 125 is available in 2 variants: VX and ZX. The VX variant is priced at Rs 86,900 (ex-showroom) and is available in two colours: Metallic Turbo Blue and Matte Storm Grey. The ZX variant costs Rs 92,900 and also gets two colour options: Matte Neon Lime and Inferno Red.

Hero Xoom 125 VX

The Hero Xoom 125 VX variant is the base variant and comes with the basic features. The 125cc scooter has all LED lighting, including the headlight, tail light and indicators. It is also equipped with an automatic corner-bending headlight, which lights up the road ahead at an angle when you start to turn the bike into a corner.

The Xoom 125 now comes with an all-new LCD instrument console that shows a speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, real-time mileage, trip meter, clock and basic tell-tale lights. The VX variant misses out on smartphone connectivity features. It also does not have sequential indicators. Underpinnings on the Xoom 125 include a telescopic fork and an offset monoshock. The Xoom 125 VX has large 14-inch cast alloy wheels and chunky tubeless tyres. It has drum brakes on both ends and weighs 120kg (kerb).

Hero Xoom 125 ZX

The Xoom 125 ZX is the top variant of the 125cc scooter. It comes packed with all the features which the VX has. Additionally, the ZX variant gets smartphone connectivity features including turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts. Additionally, the ZX variant gets a USB charging port, a back-lit start button and a boot light.

Hero Xoom 125 ZX

The Xoom 125 ZX variant also gets 14-inch alloy wheels but it features a machine-cut finish. Moreover, the ZX variant also gets a petal disc brake at the front, and a drum brake at the rear. It weighs 1kg more than the VX variant, at 121kg (kerb).

Hero Xoom 125 Engine

The Hero Xoom 125 is powered by the same 124.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Hero Destini 125, paired with a CVT (continuously variable transmission). It produces a peak output of 9PS at 7,250rpm and 10.4Nm at 6,000rpm. Hero MotoCorp claims that the Xoom 125 is the quickest 125cc scooter in the market with a 0 to 60kmph acceleration time of 7.6 seconds.
