[UPDATE: Hop has launched the Oxo in India. Full details in our launch story]
Hop Electric has confirmed that its upcoming electric bike, the Oxo 100, will be launched towards the end of July or early August this year. The e-bike is available for pre-booking at Rs 999 on Hop’s official website.
Moreover, the EV manufacturer has also announced that the Oxo 100 has received ARAI certification after completing 75,000km of road testing across 20 cities including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Patna and Kolkata. With all the tests cleared, Hop is gearing up for the official launch of the e-bike.
In terms of appearance, the Oxo 100 resembles the Yamaha FZ V2.0 with a sporty design and edgy body styling. The placement of the battery pack is right where an IC engine would be, and to say the least, the finish looks odd. It features a sleek integrated LED lighting strip on the sides of the ‘fuel tank’.

Hop plans to invest Rs 2000 crore in the next five years in India to benefit from the PLI (production linked incentive) scheme laid out by the government. Hop has also acquired USD 2.6 million of fundraising and managed to reach 130 retail touchpoints. Not a lot of details of the bike have been revealed yet; however, the bike claims to boast a range of 100-150km and have a top speed of 100kmph, putting it in the high-speed electric motorcycle category. More details here.
The Hop Oxo 100 could be priced around Rs 1.20 lakh and would rival the likes of Revolt RV400, Tork Kratos, and the upcoming Oben Rorr.
