So you’ve seen the Ducati scrambler and orgasmed thinking that a scrambler design couldn’t get better than this. You think this is the best and though you may or may not be able to lay hands on the Ducati scrambler you’ve still climaxed. That’s what most of us thought until Husqvarna revealed its 401 concepts, which resulted in dual orgasms – read that right, because Husqvarna has revealed not one but two concepts called 401 VITPILEN (White arrow in Swedish) and 401 SVARTPILEN (Black arrow).
Let’s start with the 401 SVARPITLEN which is inspired by the old scramblers. It uses the KTM Duke 390 as the base and hearts the 373cc engine producing 43 bhp. The big knobby tyres are a big draw-in and the matt black colour scheme with hints of yellow gives it a raw, sexy edge.
The 401 VITPILEN on the other hand takes inspiration from the café racers, which is easily visible from the low swung clip-on handle bars. This again is based on the Duke 390 and will house the same engine as well. the 193 kgs of the KTM will hopefully work well for the Café Racer performance of the 401 VITPILEN.
It’s a pretty good idea to take street legal bikes and conceptualize them into something more amazing. The concepts are devoid of mirrors, license plates or indicators and once these get added, the looks make change a wee bit.
Husqvarna hasn’t announced as to when these two beauties will go to production but rumor has it that it may happen sometime late next year.
