The Indo-Korean JV- DSK Hyosung is expected to launch its new Aquila 300 along with the GT300R at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. We were first to tell you that the company is planning to bring a new cruiser in India that will be launched before the GD250N, and we believe that this cruiser is the new Aquila 300.
During an interaction in August 2015, Mr Sirish Kulkarni, Managing Director, DSK Motowheels told us that the company will launch the TNT 25 by the end of 2015 followed by a new cruiser. He also informed that they don't have any plan to bring the GD250N anytime soon. It clears that one of the motorcycles launched at the upcoming motor show will be most probably the Aquila 300 and we believe that GT300 will also join the fleet along with.
Along with some major cosmetic updates on the base of Aquila 250, the new Aquila 300 gets an all new 275cc, air-cooled, V-twin engine with an oil-cooler. The new motor has been tuned to deliver 26.24bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 23.5Nm at 7,000rpm. Some of the interesting visual updates on the bike in comparison to the existing Aquila 250 are new alloys, all black theme, redesigned fuel tank, air-scoops and new tail lamp. After launch, the Aquila 300 will replace the Aquila 250 from the DSK Hyosung fleet in the country.
The new Hyosung GT300R will successor of the existing GT250R in India and it will compete with the machines like Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The bike looks much sportier and completely different in comparison to its existing sibling with new aerodynamic styling and split pattern headlamp. It sports the new 275cc, DOHC, 8-valve, V-twin engine that makes power up to 27.6bhp at 10,500rpm and torque up to 23.5Nm at 7,000rpm.
