Hyosung GD250N Naked and Faired Bikes coming soon in India: Official

DSK Hyosung, the successful Joint Venture in between the famous Indian business entity DS Kulkarni Group and South Korean manufacturer Hyosung, has launched a new cruiser Aquila GV250. On this occassion, we got a chance to interact with Mr.Shirish Kulkarni, Managing Director, DSK Hyosung, and we talked about multiple things that we are going on and are going to happen in near future. Mr. Kulkarni shared his vision and expectations regarding the Indian market.
The highlight of our interview was that Mr. Kulkarni revealed that they are going to launch two new 250cc bikes, which also include the naked sport bike GD250N and the faired version of the same bike. In response to our question about their future plans Mr. Kulkarni tols us, "Our main concern is to bring more bikes in the 200-500cc bikes and then later on we are also looking forward to bring a 125cc bike. We will be launching two 250cc bikes in 2014. The bikes will include the GD250N and the faired version of the bike."
When we asked about the pricing of the new products, Mr. Kulkarni said, "Our prime focus will to offer our products in affordable pricing and we will try to launch the GD250N with sub-2 lakh pricing, so it can compete with the other products in the marketing."
Our next question to him about the 125cc bike, he told us, "The 125cc bike will be a commuter but it will be for them who carve for something more. The bike is being designed and developed in our Indian R&D center and it will be a completely new bike. We are trying to launch the bike by next year."
The company is also working to set a new production facility apart from its assembaling unit in Wai, Mr. Kulkarni said, "We are in process to set-up our manufacturing unit in Karad, for the first phase we are planning to have a capacity of 5000 units annualy that will get operational by year end, for the second phase we have a target of 15000 units and the by 2018 the plant will be producing 1lakh unit per year. After our production unit get operational, the prices will also get down drastically."
Mr. Kulkarni told us that currently they have 32 stores in India and same number of the service centers. DSK Hyosung has 24 hour road assitance with all of their stores have a 200kms radius. So, it is looking promising to us that this Indo-Korean alliance has a lot more to offer in future.
