Indian Motorcycle now retails 8 motorcycle models through 7 dealerships in India.
Indian Motorcycle has launched the Scout Sixty in Mumbai. The model is the most affordable bike in the brand’s line-up and can be yours for a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). It will be available in three colour options i.e. Thunder Black, Indian Motorcycle Red, and Pearl White.
Like the other motorcycles that Indian sells in our sub-continent, the Scout Sixty will also be a direct import and bookings for the model have opened across the 7 dealerships Indian Motorcycle has in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
The Scout Sixty shares its chassis and suspension with the more powerful Indian Scout, but is powered by a smaller version of the Scout’s engine. At the heart of the baby-Indian is a 999cc, liquid-cooled engine that makes 78PS of power and nearly 89Nm of torque. The engine is fed through the 12.5-litre fuel tank by a closed-loop fuel injection system and transmission to the rear wheel is through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The cruiser is supported by telescopic front forks with 120mm of travel while at the rear, it gets dual shock absorbers with 76mm of travel. Stopping power comes from 298mm single disc brakes at the front and rear.
The Scout Sixty will make the Indian Motorcycle brand more accessible to buyers in India. The model will be sold alongside the Scout, Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Chieftain, Chief Dark Horse, Springfield and the range-topping Roadmaster.
