Kawasaki Versys 1000 launched in India at Rs. 12.9 lakh

After introducing a big range of supersport and nakedsport motorcycles, Kawasaki has launched its first adventure-touring bike- Versys 1000 in India. The bike has been priced at Rs. 12.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is much lesser compared to the other bikes in the respective segment like the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS and Triumph Tiger Explorer, priced at Rs. 14.95 and 17.9 lakh respectively.

The 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 looks sportier compared to its previous model, due to the redesigned semi-fairing with split pattern headlamps. The updated version gets new 17" alloys with improved suspension system and twin-spar frame for increased loading capacity. Some advanced features like 3-mode KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control) and ABS are standard with the new model.
Propelled by a 1,043cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine, the 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 ABS, belts out 118.4bhp of maximum power at 9,000rpm along with a peak torque of 102Nm coming at 7,500rpm. The bike features 310mm dual front and 250mm single rear disc braking system along with fully adjustable suspension system. Looking at the specification and features of the bike, we must say that the Japanese Auto Major has kept the price quite competitive.
