Starting at Rs 69,990, the E-Luna delivers a claimed range of up to 110km
Kinetic Green announced the delivery of a total of 130 units of its new E-Luna electric two-wheeler to BigBasket, in Pune. These EVs are ideal for commercial usage and will serve as delivery vehicles for Safe and Secure Delivery Solutions, the official delivery partner of Big Basket. The addition of E-Luna in the delivery fleet will also minimize BigBasket’s carbon footprint, and will also be cheaper to run, compared to petrol-powered bikes or scooters.
The Kinetic E-Luna is available in two variants: the E-Luna X1 is priced at Rs 69,990, while the E-Luna X2 costs Rs 74,990 (both prices ex-showroom, and applicable for general consumers). The E-Luna gets five colour options: Mulberry Red, Ocean Blue, Pearl Yellow, Sparkling Green, and Night Star Black.
The E-Luna X1 has a 1.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack and delivers a claimed range of 90km. It charges from 0 to 100 percent in just 3 hours. The X2 variant gets a 2kWh lithium-ion battery pack and provides a 110km claimed range. It takes 4 hours to fully charge. Kinetic Green also plans to introduce the E-Luna with a bigger 3kWh battery pack with a longer range in the future.
Moreover, Kinetic Green expects a business of over 50,000 E-Luna in the e-commerce and delivery sectors for 2024-2025. The company also plans to offer comprehensive solutions through its 'E-Luna Fleet' corporate program. This program will ensure service and spare part availability through its vast network of 350 dealerships. Kinetic Green has also partnered with KG Connect, an IT platform, to provide real-time GPS tracking and vehicle performance diagnostics. Additionally, they offer an extended 5-year warranty and have partnerships for finance options, fast charging, and battery swapping.
Earlier in 2020, BigBasket also added a fleet of Ampere electric scooters including the Ampere Zeal. These electric scooters were custom-made, with a storage box at the back and were added to delivery fleets in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi NCR.
