KTM RC 390 or RC 200 to be launched on 9th September, bookings might start soon

We already reported you that the Austrian bike maker- KTM is all set to launch its RC 390 and RC 200 soon in the Indian market. Now, the KTM RC 390 facebook page claims that launch date will be 9th September, 2014. However, it is not cleared that which bike is going to be launched first or the company will launch both of them in one go.
The entry level faired machines of the company- KTM RC 390 and RC 200 are based on the naked sport machines- KTM 390 Duke and 200 Duke respectively. They shares the same platform and engine with their siblings, while getting an all new bodywork, which is inspired by the RC 8R.
Having similar dimensions, both the RC 390 and RC 200 get a full body fairing with large wind shield and twin projector headlamp for a sporty appearance. Sleek rear gets LED tail lamp and integrated pillion seat for a perfect supersport feel. Wide tyres, clip-on handlebars, dual disc brakes and ABS will be provided to enhance the rider's confidence.
Powering the KTM RC 390 is a 373.2cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine, which makes 43bhp of maximum power, while the KTM RC 200 delivers 25bhp using a 199.5cc engine of similar configuration. Both are mated to a 6-speed gearbox to control the transmission via its claw type shift lever. Feeding the engines is advance Electronic Fuel Injection system (EFI) and both the bikes will come with only electric starting system.
The bikes are expected to reach dealerships for demo and bookings this month, however deliveries will start after the official launch. KTM could price the RC 390 around Rs. 2.2 lakh, while the RC 200 would be around Rs. 1.7 lakh.
