Mahindra announces MotoGP team

Mahindra Two wheelers is the first Indian domestic motorcycle manufacturer which is going to participate in MotoGP world championships in March 2011. The company has recently announced team for the race that includes Danny Webb from UK and Marcel Schrotter from Germany. It is expected that the 125cc Mahindra bike will be used in the event that was displayed at Delhi Auto Expo in 2010.
This Mahindra Bike has a 125 cc engine that delivers maximum power of 53 bhp and top torque of 32 Nm. The bike offers maximum speed of 245 kmph which is ideal for a 125cc bike. This Mahindra bike has Patel mono disc brakes at front, rear suspension is Monoshock which is necessary in a racing bike while intake system of the bike is dynamic and mind blowing. It has a digital instrument panel while fuel tank capacity of this bike is 13.5 litres and dimension is 1850mm x 1050mm x 730mm that make it a perfect racing bike in the segment.
Danny Webb from UK has great experience in bike racing. He has been participating in racing competitions from the age of 6 years and won 2005- South East Junior Mini Moto Champion when he was only 14. Webb booked seat in the MotoGP Academy and at later stage participated in the British and Spanish 125 cc Championships. In addition, he also raced for the DeGraaf Grand Prix team in 125 cc World Championship in 2007. Year 2010 was most important for him as he finished 10th overall while driving for Andalucia Cajasol Grand Prix team. And this year he is all prepared to represent Mahindra.
The second racer is Marcel Schrotter (18) from Germany. He is also having big experience of bike racing and won the 2002 Pocket Bike Championship, he has got second position in 2005 ADAC Junior Cup (125 cc) and third place in ADAC Junior Cup (125 cc)-2006. Marcel won the IDM German championship- 2009 and the UEM European Championship in the same year. In the year of 2010, Marcel represented Team Interwetten Honda in the 125 cc MotoGP World Championship. And now he is ready to ride for Mahindra.
Mahindra and Mahindra is the major four wheeler maker of India; it has recently entered in the two wheeler market (bike and scooter) with the launch of Mahindra Duro, Mahindra Rodeo, Mahindra Stallio and announced Mahindra Mojo 300cc. To prove the bikes performance, it is going to appear in the world championship. But this bike may be differed from Indian versions.
