Mahindra two-wheeler India who was planning to showcase its new 110cc scooter has been caught testing somewhere near Lonavala. Code named as Mahindra G101, the scooter will be competing against other 110cc scooters like TVS Wego, TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa, etc. Mahindra is expected to bless the new machine with exceptional features alike Mahindra Centuro.
Mahindra G101 looks heavy and premium in looks with wider seats and healthy leg space. The appearance of the scooter is sportier and impressive with multiple intake holes. The tail light looks simple but it will make the scoot visible for trailing vehicles from a good distance. The strong grab rails, smart digital plus analog console and fine muffler if coupled with the features like engine immobilizer, find me lamps, guide lamps, anti-theft alarm, etc will surely make the scooter the most suitable one to go for.
Mahindra G101 could share the engine of the Mahindra Centuro that has already won hearts of many. It is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, MCI-5 engine but it will now be mated with the CVT transmission. The expected power output of the mill is around 8.4bhp with the peak torque value of around 8.5NM.
The fuel economy is going to be as admirable as is of Centuro. A mileage above 60kmpl will make the scooter a highly competitive one. The scooter is expected to be launched in the market by the end of the year, and if possible, the company will try to avail the scooter in the Diwali festive season.
