Mahindra Mojo 300 to be priced at Rs 2.16 lacs

The upcoming Mahindra Mojo, scheduled to be launched on 16th October 2015, is going to be priced at Rs. 2.16 lacs. Many portals were claiming that the bike will be launched at Rs. 1.62 lac along with a free trip and riding jacket for the first lot of the customers. However, our folks at Gaadi.com have managed to get an invoice of the brand new Mojo, which says that the ex-showroom pricing of the bike in Pune will be 2.16 lacs (including 12.50% VAT).

Earlier, everyone was seeing a bright future of Mahindra Mojo with many premium features and a very affordable pricing. But with a price tag going over Rs. 2 lac we can’t believe that it will survive in the fierce level of competition. The bike can easily make its space in the segment if launched at a price below Rs. 1.7 lac, but over Rs. 2 lakh people have many better options.

Mahindra Mojo 300 is a roadster styled tourer with a 300cc, liquid-cooled engine, which is one of its kind combination in India. Along with a predator appearance, it features fat USD front forks, rear mono-shock, large dual disc brakes, Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, racing inspired console and much more. The single cylinder motor of the Mojo makes power up to 27bhp at 8,000rpm and delivers torque up to 30Nm. The bike have to compete with the offerings like KTM 390 Duke, Honda CBR250R and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500, and it is now looking a very tough task for the Mojo with a price tag of Rs. 2.16 lacs.
