Mahindra Mojo 300cc to be launched on Diwali

Mahindra Mojo, the most-awaited 300cc engine bike from Mahindra Two-wheeler will be launched on the India's biggest festival season-Diwali. This cute and well designed bike had already been showcased in 2010, in Mumbai, and now it is going to hit Indian shores before the end of this year.

Indian Two-wheeler market is dominated by Hero Honda and Bajaj Auto, while TVS, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki are another big players. With the launch of Mahindra Stallio- a 110cc engine bike- it had entered in this big market. But due to some problems in the gearbox, this can't win the heart of the customers.

On the other hand, Mahindra Rodeo and Mahindra Dura are the flagship scooters from Mahindra Two-wheeler's stable which are the major competitor of most popular and reliable Honda Activa. Both the Scooters are helping the sales chart of the company; however, the sales of the Stallio disappoint the firm.

Now the company is mulling over to launch this 300cc engine Mahindra Mojo which is well tested at Italian track by the Italian engineers. This is expecting with attractive features and reliable technology. While in terms of power and performance, this premium bike is expected as a competitor of Kawasaki Ninja 250R, announced Honda CBR 250R and upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250R. 

As per media reports, the Mahindra Mojo will be loaded with a 4 stroke, single cylinder, 4 valves and SOHC valve configuration 292cc engine that will generate a maximum power of 19.3 KW at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 24 Nm at 7000 rpm. This engine of the bike will be loaded with Electronic Control Unit (ECU) ignition which is latest technology in the bike. The Mahindra Mojo will be available with expected price of Rs. 1.75 which is same as a Honda CBR 250R and almost half of Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
