Mahindra new bike to be launched in India by 2011

The newly entrant two-wheeler producer, Mahindra two-wheeler is going to foray into motorcycle market with launches new bikes in India by next year. Mahindra & Mahindra is known for their SUV cars manufacture, right now it has strongly established in the Global and domestic auto market. The company is now looking for two-wheeler market in both segments. Mahindra 2-wheeler has already launched four scooters including  Mahindra Duro, Mahindra Rodeo, Mahindra Kine and Mahindra Sym Flyte.

The all models are getting overwhelming response from the Indian buyers. After the hug success of scooters in the auto market, the company is all set to debut into motorcycles market. Where are already many leading two-wheeler majors like Bajaj Auto, Hero Honda and Yamaha which are presently offering excellent performer motorcycles in the Indian auto market. Anoop Mathur president of Mahindra two-Wheelers said, “We have achieved a milestone by selling one lakh scooters in just 10 months as against a set target of 18 months.

Our plan now is to enter the motor-cycle market by end-this year and We are also working on a unique product that will be assembled in the same plant where our scooters are manufactured.” In 2008, Mahindra Group was bought Italy-based Engines and the company is creating new motorcycle at its italy-based engines Engineering. The company's all manufacturing units are producing nearly 5-6 lakh scooters annually.
