India’s largest SUV maker - Mahindra is all-set to make its debut on U.S. roads with an exclusively designed electric scooter GenZe.
Mahindra wants to target the city and campus dwellers with Vespa like electric scooter called the GenZ, which if reports are to be believed goes on sale this fall in California, Oregon and Michigan at a price tag of $2,999. As per the company, they could expand the sales to other states in US and Europe in the near future.
To tap on the tech-savvy Millennian market, the Mumbai based SUV maker has added features such as a touchscreen dashboard and a laptop charging port. As reported GenZe goes up to 30 miles per hour in a single charge. The riders will not need a motorcycle license to drive this scooter. The most unique feature to look forward in this scooter is its removable battery which riders can unhook and carry inside for a charge.

According to industry reports, only 5000 electric scooters will be sold in US this year as compared to 30,000 in Europe and almost 4 million in China.
