Mahindra Two Wheelers receives 4 International Technology Patents

The rising company of the Indian market and an arm of Mahindra Group, Mahindra Two Wheelers recently obtained international patents for its four indigenously developed technologies, which have been used in its most successful motorcycle Centuro. The four innovations for which patents were received by the company are:
Engine immobilizer: It provides an effective anti-theft solution with the 96 bit encrypted remote key, sounds an alarm and locks the engine in case someone tries to steal your bike.
Fuel gauge system and distance to empty fuel system: The new Fuel Gauge system helps the rider with an in-built algorithm that calculates the distance the vehicle will cover using the fuel remaining in the tank when it hits reserve.
Automatic ignition cut-off: It is like an start stop technology, which intelligently saves fuel during vehicle idling conditions. Fuel supply of the engine is restricted on the time of ideling, which can be restarted with a blip of the throttle.
Mahindra Centuro was launched in July this year, which was designed entirely in-house at the company’s world class, state-of-the-art R&D centre in Pune. The Centuro represents Mahindra Two Wheelers’ commitment to lead the Indian two wheeler market. In fact, the Mahindra Centuro already features the internationally patented technologies, which are never seen before features in the segment. This is not all, Mahindra’s indigenously developed intelligent 102cc, MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine fitted in the Centuro allows it to respond smartly to the need for muscle by, delivering a power output of 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM, 8.5 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm. A mileage of 85.4 kmpl (ARAI) ensures astounding fuel economy.
The Centuro’s innovative features includes Anti Theft Alarm with Engine Immobilizer, an encrypted Remote Flip Key, Find Me Lamps and Guide Lamps. The Mahindra Centuro also offers an advanced Digital Dashboard with a Distance–to-Empty (DTE) indicator, Service Reminder and Economy Mode indicator. It also offers a Maintenance Free Battery and is backed by a 5-year warranty that would ensure peace of mind for the owner.
