If you ever came across the Triumph Bonneville T100, what was the first word that came out your mouth? Isn’t it ‘elegant’? that’s what I said to my friend when I saw it for the first time. A bike with 60’s iconic styling with a peashooter exhaust and a two-tone paint. What if you come across a newly build Bonneville T100 from Down & Out Cafe Racers, which is brutal or may be aggressive. This is what they have made it. The bike with a bellicose stance with bulky continental Twinduro TKC80 rubber.
While taking a look at the motorcycle, you will doubt about fitting such tyres in the standard T100. But these builders, Shaun and Carl, have made it possible with ease by using Honda Fireblade (CBR 1000RR) forks and a set of custom triple trees. Developed with the help of Fastec Racing, the trees are mighty 246mm wide. The rear holders are a pair of Fox Shocks and wheels are powder coated black. The front rim, on the other hand, is attached via a custom hub with twin-disc brake.
The engine remains unchanged, but a new free-flowing stainless steel exhaust has been added with stubby end cans from Competition Werkes. The Down & Out Cafe Racer T100’s short seat is wrapped in quilted burgundy leather. It is the only splash of colour on this monochrome machine with silver and black paint.
