Previously, we confirmed that MV Agusta will be coming to India in collaboration with Kinetic Group in November 2015. Recently, the Italian manufacturer has imported 10 units of Brutale 1090 to India hinting towards their launch in coming months. The company will have a wide range of offerings from 800cc to 1078cc engines and are expected to be priced between Rs. 12 lac to Rs. 32 lac. Kinetic Group will be setting up dealerships along with the service centres in the main parts of the country.
The MV Agusta Brutale 1090 has an exposed body frame and is one of the best-looking bikes in its series. Brutale 1090 gets its power from a 1078cc DOHC, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke, 16 valve engine that generates a maximum power output of 158 hp at 11,900 rpm and a peak torque of 100 Nm at 10,100 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a wet multi-disc clutch which helps the bike reach a top speed of 265 kmph. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 23 litres.
According to the source, MV Agusta bikes will be launching one by one and all the offerings by the company will be coming to India in few years. As we know it is difficult to set up a new plant altogether, therefore the bikes will be brought through the CBU route and some of them can be brought as Semi Knocked Down (SKD) units also. The MV Agusta lineup consists of Brutale (675, 800, 800 Dragster, 1090), Rivale 800, Stradale 800, Turismo Veloce 800 and the F3 (675, 800) and F4.
