The Italian two-wheeler major MV Agusta, which is a part of Daimler AG Group, is planning to launch its exquisite bike line-up in India shortly. According to some recent reports, the Italian giant is currently holding talks with an Indian automaker for a joint venture. The talks are already under progress and both the companies would soon come up with an agreement. Most probably, the tie-up will be held with Mercedes-Benz AMG as it holds a share of 25 percent in the company’s stake value. If this happens, the bikes will be sold either through Mercedes-Benz showrooms or through its AMG performance centres. As per the news, MV Agusta will bring in most of its products in the country that comprises Brutale 675, F3 675, F3 800, Brutale 800, Rivale 800, Turismo Veloce 800, Stradale 800, F4 and Brutale 1090.
MV Agusta, originally known as Meccanica Verghera Agusta, has its headquarters in Varese, Italy. The company was founded back in 1945 near Milan in Cascina Costa, Italy by the founder of Agusta aviation company, Mr. Count Giovanni Agusta. The company manufactured smaller capacity cafe racer motorcycles during 1950’s to 1960’s. After that, when the sales declined, the company started manufacturing larger capacity bikes in limited numbers.
Apart from exclusivity and premiumness, the bikes are known for their skyscraping price tags. The exact prices and other details are currently not available yet, however we are expecting that the company will release its 675cc motorcycles in the price range of Rs. 13 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs and the 800cc’s would be priced over Rs. 18 lakhs. Moreover, the litre-class naked series, Brutale is expected to come around Rs. 23 lakhs and lastly, the most extravagant model of the company, F4 and F4RC will come at a whooping price of Rs. 30 lakhs and Rs. 65 lakhs respectively.
