- The Turismo Veloce 800 is powered by the same 798cc, 3-cylinder motor seen on the Brutale 800.
- In its current state of tune, the Turismo Veloce makes 1.5PS more than the Brutale 800, but 3Nm less.
- Expect the bike to be priced around Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom India).
Kinetic-owned Motoroyale is all set you to launch MV Agusta’s first tourer in India, the Turismo Veloce 800. Expect the sports tourer to be priced around Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). The launch event will be organised at Motoroyale’s new dealership in Navi Mumbai. Once launched, the Turismo Veloce 800 will go up against the Ducati Multistrada 950 and Triumph Tiger 800 XRx.
At the heart of the motorcycle lies the same 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine that powers the Brutale 800. However, it’s been retuned to produce 111.5PS at 10,150rpm and 80Nm at 7100rpm, which is 1.5PS more but 3Nm lower than the Brutale’s power figures. Its 6-speed gearbox is aided by a bi-directional quick-shifter for clutchless shifting.
Another interesting feature is the Turismo Veloce’s counter-rotating crankshaft which negates the gyroscopic effect on the wheels, making the bike more agile and nimble. The base variant of the bike gets basic electronic rider aids like four riding modes and an eight-level traction control system.
It uses a long travel Marzocchi upside-down fork and a Sachs monoshock, and both units are fully adjustable. Anchoring the bike are twin discs up front clamped by Brembo monobloc calipers and a single disc brake at the rear. Going by its touring temperament, the Turismo Veloce features 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.
The Turismo Veloce will also be the MV Agusta's first major step into the touring segment in India.
