Bajaj has launched the 2021 Platina 100 KS at Rs 51,667 (ex-showroom Delhi). While there’s a slight hike in price, the Platina 100 KS still costs Rs 8,237 less than the ES drum and Rs 10,458 less than the top-of-the-line Platina 100 ES Disc.
The Platina 100 KS gets the same 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 7.9PS of power and 8.34 Nm of torque. It’s mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The bike is equipped with 130mm drum brake at the front and 110mm drum at the rear with CBS as standard. The fuel tank capacity is 11 litres, the same as the outgoing model. Bajaj is offering the new Platina 100 KS in two new colours: Cocktail Wine Red and Ebony Black with Silver decals.
The Platina 100 KS has quite a few rivals in its segment. Here’s a list of all its rivals and their prices:
With the launch of the KS variant, Bajaj has made the Platina range more affordable. Although, with an additional Rs 1,223 to its price tag, you can purchase the CT 110 ES. While it may not have premium looks and features such as Nitrox suspension and longer travel, what it does offer is better performance and power from a larger engine.
