A new version of the full of state-of-the-art technology's packed Yamaha R15 to be launched in the market very soon. This new variant of the bike has shown its performance at R15 championships which was initially programmed, according to latest media reports.
Yamaha R15 is the first model for the Indian market designed in the actual supersport image and featuring a high level balance of the enjoyable performance on broad roads. The most awaited and elegant body designed new version of the bike now ready to foray in the market.
According to some media reports, the revamped Yamaha R15 will come loaded few new changes in the body and features. The new bike will come with changes in the rear tail lamp, new stylish five spoke alloy wheels, short grab rail and new designed front cowl.
The iconic bike, Yamaha YZF R15 might not have any changes in the engine and other parts. The bike will share the same Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 6 speed, 149.8cc powerplant that generates top power of 17 Bhp at 8500 rpm and belts out maximum torque of 15 Nm at 7500 rpm. The bike is equipped with electric fuel injection technology that make it fuel efficient and delivers mileage of around 43 kmpl.
India Yamaha brought Yamaha R15 in the year 2008 and received pretty good customer response. In terms of performance, this impressive bike is the major competitor of Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache RTR, Honda Unicorn and Honda CB Dazzler.
It is expected that the bike will be launched in the month of January, 2011. There is no announcement about the price of the bike but it is expected that new version of the bike will have increased price than the existing one.
