A claimed top speed of 100kmph makes it India’s fastest e-scooter
- It is powered by a 3kW motor.
- Electricity is stored in a 4kWh battery pack.
- Gets features like keyless operation and an anti-theft system.
The Okinawa Cruiser electric scooter has been unveiled. It’s styled like a maxi-scooter and apparently goes like one too. In fact, Okinawa claims a top speed of 100kmph for the Cruiser, making it even faster than the already zippy Ather 450X. This is courtesy of a 3kW motor fed by a 4kWh battery.
But wait, that’s not all. The manufacturer also claims a mammoth range of 120km on a full charge, the highest we’ve seen on any e-scooter yet. If that isn’t enough, Okinawa also says the Cruiser will charge up to full in just 2-3 hours, with the help of fast charging.
The maxi-scooter design language means a prominent central underbone section and an overall beefy appearance. Large 14-inch alloy wheels are present at both ends and a front disc brake is employed to bring the Cruiser to a halt. The features list contains keyless operation, mobile phone charging, an anti-theft alarm, find my scooter function and cruise control, to name a few. Pricing hasn't been revealed yet, so for now we'll have to make do with soaking in its striking appearance and wondering how accurate the specs will be.
