Customers can unlock the ‘Pro’ features by paying Rs 30,000
Ola Electric has announced that all customers who booked their S1 in September 2021 have been given a choice to upgrade to the S1 Pro. The e-scooters dispatched in December were the S1 Pro, but with the ‘Pro’ features locked. So, buyers can either continue using it as an S1 or opt to pay Rs 30,000 to unlock the additional features.
With the additional payment, owners can enjoy more range and more features, explained in-depth in our Ola Electric S1 & S1 Pro: Variants Explained story. Interestingly, customers do not have to make the choice during the purchase, but have the option to pay the difference any time they want.

This certainly is good news for Ola Electric S1 buyers, however, with the S1 Pro’s features like hill hold, voice assistant and cruise control promised as a future OTA update, it would be wise to hold off on the upgrade for now.
Ola Electric has announced that the second payment window for customers who have already booked the e-scooter will open on January 21, 6pm onwards. In another interesting development, Tork Motors is also set to launch the Kratos electric motorcycle around the same time.
